Long
long ago (over a year!), there was a little girl who we'll call "Tea".
Now, Tea was about to enter Kindergarten...and her mommy undertook that
daunting Great Quest of Exciting and Tranfixing Child About School Wonders
Ahead of the Time. Canvassing the bookstores and Internet and civilization
as we know it to find a perfect role model for her girl, Mommy discovered
"Strawberry Shortcake Goes To School!". Let's listen to her mommy's
inner discussion right now:
"Hmmmmm, a modernized Strawberry Shortcake? Okay lessee... (flip flip flip) She's alert, creative, brave and ready to tackle the world! She takes care of her friends and gasp! works things out instead of whining when things get tough. She doesn't focus on fashion (Mommy had just seen the Army Bratz, complete with high-heeled shoes perfect, Mommy supposed, for spearing jungle bugs) but instead seems to crackle with life (Strawberry Shortcake's motto: things are growing better every day!) Hey! This would be a great role model for Tea!" That afternoon, Mommy gave Tea her berry....first....book! Tea calmly looked at it (it was like watching a 4th of July Rocket getting ready to go off) and 2 seconds later, it disappeared (along with Tea) into Tea's room where she put up the school poster that was included....and began what was to be her lifelong adoration of Strawberry Shortcake. Let's now zoom ahead to today. Tea loves Strawberry Shortcake so much, her Mommy and Daddy and siblings took her to the 2004 Strawberry Shortcake Convention in Cleveland! Mommy had handcrafted her a RCSSCH (real cool Strawberry Shortcake hat) just for the event as you see above (that in itself was an adventure, as Mommy's background is in corporate training and Mommy had never held a needle before in the past 20 years) and the whole family enjoyed a 1,000 mile round trip to catch the excitement. And that's why Mommy has created this site. Strawberry Shortcake is Cool! She's an awesome role-model for our kids and teaches values that I'm frankly thrilled are still held dear in today's world of dross and shallowness. With that, enjoy your visit! I've created pages for
